Dead zones, buffering video calls, and Wi-Fi that dies the moment everyone connects — these are the everyday symptoms of poor wireless design. Wavelink Networks LTD delivers professional wireless access point (AP) installation services in Nairobi and across Kenya, giving homes, offices, and institutions Wi-Fi that genuinely works everywhere.
Why Access Points Beat Consumer Range Extenders
A wireless access point is a dedicated device that creates a wireless network connected to your wired network. Installed at ceiling height in the right locations, enterprise-grade APs deliver far stronger, cleaner coverage than consumer routers or plug-in extenders — which halve your bandwidth and create unreliable mesh hops.
Our Access Point Installation Services
We handle every element of professional AP deployment:
- Wireless site survey — measuring signal, interference, and coverage across your premises.
- AP placement planning — positioning access points for even coverage with minimal overlap.
- Ceiling and wall mounting — clean, secure installation with concealed cabling.
- PoE deployment — power over Ethernet from PoE switches or injectors, so no power outlets are needed at the AP.
- Controller-based or cloud-managed Wi-Fi — central management of multiple APs from one dashboard.
- SSID and VLAN configuration — separate, secure networks for staff, guests, and devices.
- Guest portal setup — voucher codes, passwords, or captive-portal login for hotels, salons, and events.
- Performance tuning — channel planning, transmit power adjustment, and band steering for interference-free operation.
Where Different AP Types Fit
| AP Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Indoor ceiling AP | Offices, schools, retail spaces |
| Wall-plate AP | Hotel rooms, classrooms, wards |
| Outdoor AP | Compounds, gardens, car parks, campuses |
| High-density AP | Auditoriums, mosques, churches, halls |
